Painters Rockhampton is a locally focused painting business built around proper preparation, practical advice and respect for customers' properties. We believe good painting should be straightforward, from the first conversation through to the final finish.
Painters Rockhampton was founded by Daniel McKenzie, a Central Queensland local who developed an early appreciation for hands-on trade work while helping maintain family properties around Rockhampton. Working on weathered timber, fences and older painted surfaces taught him that preparation often makes the biggest difference to a finished job. That understanding shaped his view of painting as a trade that requires patience, practical knowledge and attention to detail.
As Daniel developed his experience, he became interested in the variety of buildings around Rockhampton. Traditional Queenslanders, weatherboard houses, rendered family homes and commercial premises all presented different painting requirements. He wanted to build a local painting business that treated each property individually, explained the work clearly and placed preparation at the centre of the process. Painters Rockhampton grew from that approach, with an emphasis on straightforward communication and careful workmanship.
Today, Daniel works alongside Matthew O'Brien and Sarah Collins, bringing together an interest in exterior preparation, interior finishes and practical project organisation. The team values the character of Rockhampton's established neighbourhoods and understands that local sunshine, humidity and seasonal rain influence how painted surfaces need to be maintained. From a single room to a larger house repaint, the aim is to help customers understand their options and feel comfortable with the work being planned.
We focus on Exterior House Painting, Interior House Painting, Roof Painting, Residential Repainting, Commercial Painting, and Weatherboard House Painting. Each service has its own page so you can see exactly what is involved before you call.
We are based around Rockhampton and serve Rockhampton, including Norman Gardens, Frenchville, Gracemere, Parkhurst, The Range, Wandal, Park Avenue, Berserker, Allenstown, Kawana, and Rockyview.
We believe the quality of a paint finish begins with the underlying surface. Cleaning, repairs, sanding and priming are considered before new coatings are applied.
Homes and workplaces deserve care. We value appropriate protection, organised work areas and consideration for the people using the property.
Customers should understand the preparation, proposed scope and factors influencing the painting process. We aim to explain these things in straightforward language.
Edges, trims, corners and consistent coverage all contribute to the final appearance. We believe careful attention to these details is an important part of the trade.
